EOC & Promotion Requirements
 

End of Course Test Requirements 

According to the Georgia Department of Education, the assessments provide diagnostic information to help students identify strengths and areas of need in learning, therefore improving performance in all high school courses. All EOCT are worth 20% of the final course grade. The following classes have an EOCT:

• American Literature

• GSE Algebra 

• Biology

• U.S. History

Promotion Requirements

To 10th Grade - 

Student must earn a minimum of five credits which shall include one full credit each of state-required core coursework in English, Math, and Science 

 

To 11th Grade - 

Student must earn a minimum of ten units which shall include two full units each of state-required core coursework in English, Math, and Science

 

To 12th Grade - 

Student must earn a minimum of sixteen units which shall include two full units each of state-required core coursework in English, Math, and Science
